What this policy covers
Short version first, then the detail. The rest of the page spells each row out.
- Who we are
- Dave's Hot Chicken Masterclass, the online cooking course that teaches Nashville hot chicken tenders, sliders, and wings.
- What we collect
- Details you type into our forms, plus basic technical data your browser sends when a page loads.
- Why we collect it
- To answer your enquiry, set up course access, and keep the site working for everyone.
- What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles about you.
- How to reach us
- Email or phone works for any privacy question, request, or complaint. Details are further down this page.
Information we collect
We keep collection narrow on purpose. If a detail is not needed to answer you or run the course, we do not ask for it. There are two groups of data, and they arrive by different routes.
Details you give us
These are typed in by you. Nothing here is collected silently.
- Contact form entries. Your name, email address, and the message you write, so we can reply to your question about the course.
- Course enrolment details. The name and email used when you sign up, plus the plan and heat level you choose, so your access is set up for the right content.
- Payment confirmation. Payments are handled by a payment provider; we receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, not your full card number.
- Messages you send us. If you email or call with a question, we keep that correspondence so we do not ask you the same thing twice.
Technical data
Collected automatically when a page loads. It is aggregate-level and is not used to identify you by name.
- The pages you viewed and roughly how long you stayed.
- Browser type, device type, and screen size.
- The site that referred you here, if any.
- An approximate region derived from your network address, used to keep the site fast and to spot abuse.
How we use your information
Every use below has a reason attached to it. Where a use is optional, we say so and you can decline it without losing access to the course you paid for.
Answering your questions before you enrol
We use your name and email to reply. Without them we cannot answer you at all.
Setting up and keeping your course access
Your enrolment email identifies your account, which is how the heat-level modules and sauce recipes stay available to you.
Course updates and new material
If we add a module or revise a sauce method, we email enrolled students. You can opt out of these messages and still keep your access.
Keeping the site working and secure
Technical data helps us see which pages fail to load and lets us block automated abuse such as bulk form submissions.
Understanding which pages help
Aggregate page-view numbers tell us whether the course outline and heat-level pages answer the questions visitors arrive with. These numbers are not tied to your name.
Meeting our own legal duties
We keep basic transaction records where the law requires it, such as for tax and accounting purposes.
Sharing, selling, and who else sees it
We do not sell personal data. We do not rent it, trade it, or hand it to advertising networks so they can profile you across other sites. Sharing is limited to the service providers that make the course run, and each one only receives what its job needs.
Payment processing
A payment provider handles the card transaction and receives the details needed to charge you.
Email delivery
Our email provider sends enrolment confirmations and course updates on our behalf.
Hosting and site security
The servers that host this site log technical data and may see an IP address as part of normal traffic handling.
Legal requirements
If a valid legal request arrives, we may have to disclose records. We review each request before responding.
How long we keep it
Retention follows the reason the data exists. Once that reason ends, the record goes.
Enquiry messages that do not lead to enrolment
Kept while the conversation is active, then removed.
Course account and progress records
Kept while your access is open, and for a short period after so you can return to the modules.
Transaction and tax records
Kept for the period accounting rules require, then deleted.
Technical and security logs
Kept briefly for troubleshooting and abuse checks, then discarded.
If you ask us to delete your account, we remove the personal details we hold. A small set of transaction records may remain where we are required to keep them; we will tell you if that applies to your request.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have specific legal rights over your personal data. We apply the same process to every request, whatever the wording of the local law. Send a request to the contact details below and we will confirm what we did.

Opt out of updates
Leave the course-update emails and keep the access you paid for. Every message includes an unsubscribe link.
We aim to answer a privacy request within a reasonable period and may need to confirm your identity first, so that we do not hand your records to someone else. There is no charge for a routine request. If you are not satisfied with our reply, tell us, and we will explain the options available where you live.
Cookies and your browser
This site uses a small number of cookies and similar storage so that pages load correctly and so that you are not asked to confirm the same preference on every visit. Some of them are needed for the site to work at all, such as keeping a form submission from being duplicated. Others record a choice you made, such as dismissing the cookie notice.
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking the essential ones may mean a form does not submit properly or a preference is forgotten between pages. The full list of what is stored, what each item does, and how long it lasts sits on the cookie policy page.
Security in plain terms
Data moves over an encrypted connection between your browser and our servers. Access to enrolment records is limited to the people who need it to run the course, and card details are handled by the payment provider rather than stored on this site.
No system is perfect. If a breach ever affects your data, we will contact the people affected and explain what happened and what to do next.
Children
The course is written for adults cooking at home. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children, and we will remove it if a parent or guardian tells us it was submitted.
Questions and changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we do with your data, we will update the date at the top of the page and tell enrolled students by email before the change takes effect.

Privacy questions people ask
A few things visitors ask before they enrol or send a message.
Do I have to give you my details to browse the course pages?
No. You can read the course outline, the heat-level breakdown, and the dish pages without giving us anything. Personal details are only requested when you send a question through the contact form or enrol in the course.
Do you sell email addresses or share them with advertisers?
We do not sell or rent email addresses, and we do not pass them to advertising networks for profiling. Your email is used to answer you, set up your course access, and send updates you can opt out of.
How long does a deletion request take?
We confirm receipt first, then action the request. If we must keep a transaction record for accounting reasons, we say so in the reply and explain which part stays and why.
Does this page cover the course content or payments?
No. This page covers personal data only. Course access, refunds, and account rules are set out in the Terms of Service, and payment handling is described in the sharing section above.
Where should I send a privacy question?
Email [email protected] or call +1-901-555-0844 during working hours. Put the word privacy in the subject line so it reaches the right person quickly. You can also use the contact page.
